Student Success Statement

" I wasn't trying to leave a legacy. I was trying to do what was right." - Dean Smith

What Dean Smith was meaning is he did what he thought was right, he didn't win games or be a coach to have a legacy, he did something he loved and he made the best of it. Dean Smith didn't care about winning or losing, he only cared about his player's, there academics and to make sure they're okay. For Example, if i was coach i wouldn't care if i lose or win because you either win or you learn that's how life goes. Dean Smith didn't become a coach to leave history, he became a coach because that's something he loved and he wanted to help others. Everyone is here for a reason and your spirit is your legacy but you have to do what's right so you can be happy with yourself not have guilt on your shoulders. To be a CTR person you have to do what's right because remember the motto is " Choose The Right" and Dean Smith was a CTR person because he did what was right and he was happy with his life.
